High 5 Netball

The Blue Coat Family High 5 netball festival took place on Thursday 28th February. Caldmore, Blue Coat Juniors and Chuckery all brought two teams to the competition.

Both Blue Coat teams drew 2 and lost 2 games, Caldmore 2 drew 3 and lost 1 game and Chuckery 2 drew 2 and won 1 game. The two remaining teams battled very closely for the winning position, but Caldmore 1 with 2 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss just missed out to CHUCKERY 1 who won 3 matches and lost 1.

So very well done to all those who took part, and good luck to Chuckery 1 who go on to represent Blue Coat Family at Leamore Park.

House Matches Results

The first of the Spring Term House matches took place in the week beginning 21st January.  The activity was indoor mixed hockey and many pupils participated.

The Year 7 & 8’s competed on the Monday. Unfortunately, Samson didn’t have a team, Moses and Noah came equal 2nd but Abraham won 3 of 4 matches to win full points for their house.

Years 9 and 10 need to work on their organisation skills and commit to participating in matches as no houses had full teams.

Year 11 had a fantastic event on Wednesday, again, Samson didn’t have a full team to play but the competition was close between the other three houses. Noah came 3rd after equalling matches won with Moses, but losing to them on goal difference. Therefore, Moses sneaked into second place but once again, the winners were Abraham.

This leaves the scores standing for the Spring Term 1 as;

                                Abraham           37PTS

                                Moses                33PTS

                                Noah                  31PTS

                                Samsom            16PTS

Blue Coat Family

Congratulations to Chuckery!

A huge well done to the TAG rugby team at Chuckery Primary School who  won the Family Tag rugby festival which took place at Caldmore Primary School on 4th October. They went on to represent the Blue Coat Family at the Partnership Finals which is a festival for the winning schools from all the Family tournaments. Six schools took part and so it was a great achievement to finish in second place.

Chuckery then took the TAG rugby team to the Walsall finals where all the children had a great time and enjoyed competing against other schools from Streetly and Willenhall.  A brilliant afternoon was had by all and Chuckery should be very proud of themselves for doing so well in the competition.
