These pages should be a means of schools celebrating sporting success and achievement. Unfortunately not all schools in the Academy Family are represented despite the fact there are some amazing things going on in ALL of our schools. |

If you know your school has taken part in an event not recorded here please email me with the details and it will go up on this page as soon as possible! philippanapper@blueyonder.co.uk |
| L'Elmore la presa Verde Giorno italiano!
Elmore Green held an Italian Day on 12th June. Amongst other things going on throughout the school Reception through to Year 6 received football coaching 'the Italian Way' with the main theme being to teach the children the '10 steps to Italian Heaven'. Ms Painter - PLT at Elmore Green - will be taking sixteen Year 6 students from the Walsall Academy Family to Sneyd Baths for extra swimming sessions. The children will swim for 1 hour a day each day for the first week of the summer holidays . This is part of the government TOP Up Swimming programme to help all pupils achieve their 25m target by the end of Key Stage 2 (end of Year 6). Ms Painter is a qualified swimming instructor and has kindly volunteered to help the children achieve this target. Good luck to all of them!

"Five primary schools in Walsall have received awards recognising their commitment to promoting sport. Walsall Academy has worked with Bloxwich CofE, Elmore Green, Lower Farm, Little Bloxwich and St Peter's to increase the quantity and quality of physical education they provide. As a result all of the schools have received the Activemark Sports Award. Graeme Bell - PE teacher at Walsall Academy said; "The schools worked hard to offer their students the opportunity to experience a variety of physical activities with the emphasis on quality teaching and learning. This has obviously reaped rewards as we are one of the few families of schools within the borough to have achieved a 100% success rate in achieving this prestigious award."
